Melissa – Chief Executive Officer

Melissa joined the company almost 10 years ago bringing 18 years of learning and development, marketing and management experience to her role as Chief Executive Officer the Learning Dimensions Network and it’s 3 divisions. Prior to joining Learning Dimensions Network, Melissa held global General Management positions in various consultancies based in Malaysia, Singapore and New York and been a learning and development consultant and coach in her own right.

Melissa’s role includes providing senior Account Management support for large or complex projects, managing offshore cross-cultural projects, as well as overseeing all project resourcing and implantation. Whilst enjoying client facing work, Melissa most enjoys working with her own team to ensure the values we say and philosophies we share, are truly practiced internally every day.

 

 

Louise – Managing Partner

As one of our most dynamic and insightful consultants, Louise has a strong reputation for her practical approach to achieving operational, behavioural and cultural outcomes that outlast the life of the project. Having previously held various HR and leadership positions within Australian blue chip organisations, Louise became a founding partner of Learning Dimensions Network, the parent company of Leadership Dimensions, 19 years ago.

As an experienced designer and developer of interventions that align with organisational goals, Louise holds qualifications in both organisational behaviour and business management. Known as the ‘Trainer of Trainers’, Louise regularly receives feedback such as ‘simply the best facilitator I have met’, as commented by a Director of Safety and HR for a large construction company.

 

 

Kevin – Founding Partner

As an experienced researcher, designer and developer of safety interventions that align with operational and systemic outcomes, Kevin is well known for his practical application of best practice approaches, particularly at senior management level.

Kevin brings 30 years of experience as a senior leader within various businesses in the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia, including 10 years as a Senior Consultant with Chandler MacLeod. Kevin holds teaching qualifications and specialises in psychometric and values-based assessment tools.

Kevin is a highly sought after facilitator and a coach to CEOs, MDs and their senior teams, and focuses on safety and other leadership responsibilities. He is also a founding partner of Learning Dimensions Network, the parent company of Leadership Dimensions.

 

 

Sue – National Business Development Manager

Sue brings over 20 years experience in service industries, training, education, recruitment and consulting to her role at Safety Dimensions.

Responsible for working solely along side our Managing Partner of Safety Dimensions, Sue works on high profile and senior executive accounts across the mining, construction, aviation and manufacturing industries, and specialises in accounts which require that special level of attention due to complexity, size, scope or confidentiality.

Known for her relaxed, client centric, yet pragmatic approach, Sue successfully applies her business development, operations, recruitment, financial and project management experience with her ability to listen and provide insight to consistently deliver service of the highest standard.

 

Janet – Account Manager

With a Masters in Organisational Change and Consulting, Janet is a highly sought after consultant and account manager, and has developed client relationships that span more than ten years.
With 25 years experience in learning and development and having worked and managed clients in over 20 countries, Janet is known for bringing more to a client than just technical expertise in adult learning and behaviour change. Janet recognises that behavioural change is achieved through a combination of reliability, relationship and influence, and how, in our increasingly diverse workforce, each of these requires subtlety and flexibility in communication styles.
As an instructional designer, account manager and accomplished facilitator, Janet will partner with a client from end-to-end in order to promote the best possible outcomes. Her philosophy is to make even the ‘hard stuff’ easier for the client through transparent consultation and open contracting.
Janet is also the Managing Partner of our sister company Leadership Dimensions.

 

Paula – Business Manager

Paula works directly with the CEO, General Manager and the Board and has responsibility for ensuring, in consultation with the General Manager, that the strategic vision of the organisation is achieved.

Having had overall responsibility for the day to day running of the business, and the operational teams, (Project Management, Design and Development and Operations) Paula is able to bring her practical experience to any challenge.

With over 10 years national and international experience in the training and development field ranging from project management, marketing, scheduling, facilitator management and business operations, Paula’s expertise is highly valued within Learning Dimensions.

 

 

Wayne – Financial Controller

Wayne is Financial Controller and head of the Finance department at Learning Dimensions Network. Wayne’s role is to oversee all the financial operations, internal controls and integrity of the finance department, whilst providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Wayne has held senior leadership roles with strategic and financial management responsibilities across a mix of industries.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is CPA qualified. Wayne’s experience covers accounting, financial management, project management, systems improvement and strategic planning.

 

 

Harai – National Operations Manager

Harai has over 20 years experience as an operations and administration generalist covering areas such as IT management, process re-engineering, human resources, events management, policy writing, project management and leading and managing teams. With a strong belief that “every person adds value to an organisation”, she strives to assist others to achieve their learning outcomes. Having worked across a range of industry sectors, including tertiary education, sales and marketing and government, Harai brings adaptability, energy and a passion for connecting people to services, support and opportunities.

 

 

Penny – Project Quality Accounts Manager

With over 20 years in learning and development, including roles in project management, consultancy, facilitation and instructional design, and servicing clients in industries that include telecommunications, mining, banking and retail, Penny brings her practical experience, keen attention to detail and passion for excellence to her role as Project Quality Accounts Manager.

Penny is responsible for ensuring that individual projects, particularly those that are large or complex, are successfully implemented and delivered to the exacting standards and high quality that Learning Dimensions Network pride themselves on.  Applying a comprehensive and supportive approach over a project’s lifecycle, and working closely with all key personnel, Penny ensures that the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed, so that projects are ultimately delivered to clients as promised.

 

Chloe – Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager, Chloe’s naturally curious and detail-oriented nature positions her as a trusted consultant to clients. Her ability to take the complicated and make it simple ensures Chloe can easily transition across industries to get to the heart of the issue and find the right solution.

With a passion for improving company culture and making learning and development relevant to an organisations unique need, Chloe works closely and tirelessly with clients to find the best solution to support their desired outcomes.

 

Tania – Marketing & PR Manager

Tania has 20 years experience in marketing, communication, web and online strategy across corporate, government, education, not-for-profit and social enterprise. In addition to her marketing role, Tania develops the Learning Dimensions Network online learning portals. Tania holds a Bachelor of Education and an M.A.in Marketing.

 

Scott – Business Development

Scott focuses on the needs of his clients to ensure the solution provided meets their requirements and understands that ongoing support and assistance is key to a positive ongoing relationship. Getting to know the people and the company – their history and future goals and targets – is an important part of the process to ensure the correct solution is provided

Scott’s experience covers a wide variety of industries such as Telecommunications, transport & logistics, building & construction and finance – assisting businesses of all sizes.

Dr. Paul – Lead Consultant and Facilitator

Paul is a lead consultant and facilitator at Safety Dimensions. Paul has 25 years of operational and management consulting experience in both the public and private sectors, during which time he has worked with and provided management advisory and capacity development services to a wide range of industry groups throughout Australia and internationally – with this encompassing a number of major government, infrastructure, transport, and oil & gas projects.

Paul has a PhD in Public Safety Risk Management and holds accreditations as an Associate of the Australian Risk Policy Institute (AARPI), Chartered Generalist OHS Professional (ChOHSP) and Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CMAS), his specific areas of expertise relate to health and safety risk management and capacity development on both an organisational and societal level.

Adopting an evidence based behavioural science approach, Paul actively integrates the principles of organisational psychology and risk management to facilitate sustainable cultural change and capacity development that is supported by, and actively aligned with, wider management and operational frameworks – thereby facilitating health & safety management as being truly “business as usual”.

Employing this approach, Paul has provided need assessment, management system auditing, issue research/analysis, and organisational change and capacity development services to a number of organisations, developing bespoke management and training frameworks/programs and solutions, and integrating the same with existing systems – actively incorporating operational needs and statutory requirements with strategic goals and business objectives.

Paul also has extensive experience in project risk governance, workshop facilitation, and the development and provision of specialised training packages in OHS, risk management, operational safety/defensive tactics and emergency management.
Combining practical experience with theoretical knowledge, Paul maintains an active relationship with academic and research institutions.

Bruce – Senior Consultant and Facilitator

Bruce is a highly competent and often requested facilitator, with over 27 years of experience in the fields of safety leadership and education. His engaging and dynamic facilitation style generates results across all levels of organisations. Bruce has a strong focus on risk assessment, having project managed the risk assessment of traffic management, evacuation procedures, excursion policies and bomb awareness across three TAFE campuses.
As lead facilitator in our 18 month safety leadership intervention on the Sydney Water-sponsored Bluewater Desalination Project, which concluded in September 2009, Bruce was the most often requested facilitator and on-the-job coach, and was instrumental in the significant success of this assignment.

Bruce’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Education, Diploma in Work Health and Safety, a Diploma in Training and Assessment and a Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution.

Pete – Consultant and Facilitator

Pete has worked across a diverse range of industries, both locally and internationally. His business and training experience is immediately recognised by participants, and his flexible and engaging facilitation style enlightens, challenges and encourages participants to move beyond their comfort zone and achieve what’s ‘truly possible’. Pete has a solid background in leadership and team development, cultural transformation and alignment, experiential learning and team coaching.

At an organisational level, Pete has worked with both leadership and functional teams to create alignment, commitment and performance. This is evidenced by his three year role with the ANZ Cultural Breakout program, as well as through running numerous team off-site conferences for many blue chip organisations, and through being a key component of the BMA Foundations of Leadership program, spanning six years, 70 sessions and over 1500 participants.

Pete is a great example of a facilitator delivering to an organisation’s specific needs, and designing effective interactions that include the appropriate blend of learning methodologies to suit an audience. These can range from experiential learning activities through to strategy, transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, relationship and communication skill development.

Paulien – Consultant and Facilitator

Paulien first joined Safety Dimensions in 2008 and is a dynamic facilitator who is able to captivate her audience and create ownership and interest in OHS behavioural and cultural change. She has had significant achievement in the design, development and implementation of leadership development and cultural change strategies and interventions.

Paulien is noted for her innovative approach to her work, her ability to establish and maintain relationships with people, her high energy, passion, enthusiasm and delightful sense of humour and fun. She has had the opportunity to work both nationally and internationally with organisations to develop strategies t0 meet the challenges of the future.

Ian – Consultant and Facilitator

Ian brings 25 years of experience and a passion for learning and development to his role as a senior consultant and facilitator across the 3 divisions of Learning Dimensions Network.

Having previously held senior roles in learning and development and safety across global organisations, Ian is a self-starter who is able to influence, drive change and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.  Ian prides himself on his ability to listen to a client’s need, formulate and deliver engaging and effective solutions which are consistent with an organisation’s values, strategies and objectives.

Ian is well regarded by clients for his breadth of experience combined with his engaging delivery style which provides him with the credibility and expertise to work with both senior and front line leaders. He holds a Diploma of Management, Diploma of Business and a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.

Michael – Consultant and Facilitator

A highly experienced trainer in Work Health and Safety, Leadership and Management and Training and Assessment. He has taught within VET sector for over 16 years including training for TAFE Northern Sydney Institute, NatureCare College, National Safety Council of Australia and others.

He is a Safety Institute of Australia Certified OHS professional and has training in Occupational Health and Safety Auditing and an accreditation in Return to Work  Coordination.

Michael brings engagement and enjoyment to the training environment. Creates a circle of respect and a passion for learning with learners. He holds Diplomas in Business and Leadership and Management as well as an Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.  Michael is also a former Chairman of Australian Society of Alexander Technique Teachers.

Pete – Consultant and Facilitator

Pete is a dynamic and enthusiastic facilitator with a broad knowledge of adult education and organisation development. Pete’s strength lies in creating and holding learning spaces for groups and individuals. He has an engaging style which opens participants’ minds and enables them to act on their learning back in the work environment.

With 15 years of facilitation experience across a range of sectors and organisations, he leads groups to discover and act on their potential as leaders. He has worked closely with people at all levels within organisations and has a great capacity to develop meaningful affinity with everyone he works with.

Ian – Consultant and Facilitator

Ian is known globally for his high energy and captivating style. His ability to be flexible in his delivery strategies not only keeps participants engaged and challenged it ensures that learning sticks. With over 25 years of training and coaching expertise allows Ian to relate quickly with groups ranging from mining sites to corporate finance to not for profits. His experience and abilities have led him to become the sole global master facilitator for Rio Tinto, which involves training and accrediting all other leadership facilitators.

Ian’s passion for training and coaching sees him traveling globally to work with organisations such as Rio Tinto, BHP, Coca-Cola, Quintiles through to not for profit organisations.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education), Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment, Accredited in DISC and MBTI, Certificate of Professional Coaching and NLP Practitioner. He is also an author in presenting and facilitating skills and best-selling author in human development.

Tania H – Consultant and Facilitator

Tania is an experienced learning and development professional with a proven track record in delivering engaging and challenging learning programs in leadership, safety leadership, management, and inter-personal communication. Tania is an articulate communicator with over 20 years’ experience in both public and private sector organisations as a facilitator, consultant and coach in Australia, Asia and America. Her depth of knowledge of human behaviour, adult learning strategies, practical tips with easy on the job application and delivery style inspires behavioural change in others. Her professionalism and friendliness means she builds rapport quickly with both clients and participants to achieve mutually desirable outcomes.

Her qualifications include: Master of Training and Development, Bachelor of Behavioural Sciences (Honours), Diploma of Management, Diploma of Professional Counselling, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Tania is also an accredited MBTI® practitioner and is currently completing her accreditation in the LSI/GSI diagnostic.

Influential in workforce development for more than 15 years, Tania has transformed teams and organisations in her capacity as Master Corporate Trainer, Learning Architect, Communication Specialist and Executive Coach.

Peter – Consultant and Facilitator

Peter has earned a reputation for rapidly transforming his memorable insights and practical ideas into bottom line results. Over nearly two decades, Peter has inspired participants through his captivating and motivational training, facilitation and coaching skills. His focus is on improving the performance and effectiveness of individuals, groups and organisations through personalised coaching and mentoring.Peter has been working in the safety leadership industry with Leadership Dimensions and our parent company Learning Dimensions Network since 2004 and has had the privilege of being guest speaker at Stanford University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning, as well as being a proud published author of two books. He is currently writing his third.

 

Susi – Consultant and Facilitator

Susi has a Masters in Organisational Psychology and has worked extensively over the last 15 years in the corporate arena. Her areas of expertise include culture change, diagnostics, leadership development, mentoring programs and behavioural safety.

Her great combination of analysis and delivery has been utilised by many large Australian companies, from retail to banking to mining. Susi facilitates in an inclusive style that ensures participants have a positive and engaging learning experience.

Brett – Consultant and Facilitator

Brett is a very passionate and highly experienced facilitator and advocate of adult learning, coaching and mentoring for over the past 20 years. His approach as a facilitator is to be learner-centric and completely focused on achieving the learning outcomes for each specific program.

Brett has 15+ years experience designing and delivering training solutions to a wide range of industries including mining, manufacturing, construction, government, corporate and not for profits. He brings a solid theoretical background of accelerative adult learning principles with him. Brett’s very strong instructional design background ensure his approach to adult learning is considered, conceptual and cutting edge.

He has also managed teams and been a leader in the retail, travel and training sectors and is able to personally reference the issues and barriers to being a leader around creating a safety culture in an ever changing and pressured work environment.

Brett has experience training and facilitating in almost 30 countries including the USA, Europe, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Mexico, South Africa and the Middle East and his areas of interest include cross cultural communication and workplace safety.  Brett holds a Bachelor of Adult Learning and Development and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Paul – Consultant and Facilitator

Paul is a sought after facilitator who brings over 20 years experience to the programs he delivers. He is a registered psychologist and highly skilled in the roles of business and leadership coach, organisational change consultant and motivational speaker. Paul has worked with a large number of organisations and franchise groups, providing integral strategies for successful operations during times of high growth and change.Paul’s years of experience and his in depth understanding of the human psyche combine to create a powerful dose of motivation, thus developing people’s confidence and achievement of goals. Paul has been working with Learning Dimensions Network for over 13 years and is often requested for his desire and ability to create sustainable change.

 

Ron – Consultant and Facilitator

Ron has been a long standing, valued member of the Safety Dimensions team since our inception. He is an accomplished facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with a diverse range of clients in various contexts, both in Australia and abroad. Ron’s expertise includes strategic planning, change management, community dialogue, organisational learning, leadership and team building, and conflict resolution.

Ron regularly receives rave reviews from his clients, where he has been applauded in allowing them the space to explore issues and content, whilst ensuring the process and environment are conducive to achieving their goals.

Ron’s diverse and extensive list of diplomas and accreditations include nine years as Executive Director of the Tourism Training Council of WA, Bachelor of Business from Victoria University, Graduate Diploma (Bus.) from Curtin University and a Diploma in Frontline Management, to name but a few.

Robert – Consultant and Facilitator

Robert is a certified Generalist OHS Practitioner with experience in Private and Government (State & Federal) organisations covering the telecommunications, manufacturing, construction, facilities management and transport industries. He has significant experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Training environments with exposure to Australian State and Federal WHS legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice. Robert is a qualified trainer/facilitator, WHS Auditor and Return to Work Coordinator. His contributions have enhanced WHS awareness in employees, increased skills and knowledge at all levels, lowered injury statistics and contributed to the development of a safer work culture often in difficult and high risk environments.

 

Jenny – Consultant and Facilitator

Jenny brings tremendous energy, passion and focus to the projects she undertakes. She has an ability to instil enthusiasm into individuals and organisations, resulting in heightened commitment to the pursuit and attainment of their goals. Jenny combines her 15 years experience as an organisational psychologist and leadership coach with her extensive experience in psychometric assessment, succession planning, training and development.Jenny has a strong ability to tailor her facilitation, creating a tremendous impact on organisations’ and individuals’ target issues. Much of Jenny’s recent work has been with two of Australia’s biggest financial service institutions, where she has assessed, created development plans for and coached individuals. Jenny is an accredited Genos EI facilitator and coach, a registered psychologist and a valued member of the Leadership Dimensions team.

Meet Our Client Services Team

Safety Dimensions provides clients with a seamless service to create the high quality outcomes that exceed expectations. We are able to do this by assigning the right team of professionals to the work.

Typically, your Client Service Team will comprise of an:

  • Account Manager – the main point of contact and the person responsible for the success of our engagement
  • Project Manager – an office-based consultant who ensures open communication and transparent reporting around all aspects of the engagement
  • Subject Experts and Delivery Teams – our team of subject matter experts, facilitators, coaches and trainers allow us to meet the requirements of each client engagement.

Stacey – RTO Manager

Stacey is responsible for the RTO management of Learning Dimensions Network. As Team Leader – Project Management, Stacey is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of client projects. Stacey is client focused, commercially savvy and brings a wealth of experience to the role of managing a multitude of projects herself, in addition to managing our project management team to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to budget while satisfying client expectations.

Stacey has over 10 years of experience in project management and delivery of training programs for a variety of blue chip and government organisations, including working with our clients to successfully manage delivery of projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Her experience covers a broad range of learning interventions including industry accreditation, VET, higher education, coaching, corporate development programs and administration of assessment tools and surveys.

Anca  – Project Manager

As Project Manager, Anca is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Safety Dimensions’ client projects. She has strong attention to detail and excellent client focus; she works hard to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Anca has extensive experience in the resource industry, having previously worked as Training Coordinator and Competency Management System Coordinator for two of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.

Anca has a Bachelor Degree in languages and postgraduate degrees in Business Management and International Relations.

Chris – Project Manager

As a Project Manager, Chris has over 10 years’ experience in the education and corporate training sectors; including industry accreditation, VET and higher education. Her primary responsibility is for project managing LDN key national Blue Chip clients, delivery of quality resources, and a high level of client service that meets their training requirements.

Chris has previously worked for one of the Group of Eight Universities in Australia, and a global human resouces training company. Her wealth of knowledge is reflected through her understanding of the various training packages, based upon the needs of the organisations and clients. Chris holds a Master Degree in Marketing.

Ben –  Editor, Desktop Publishing Administrator

Ben’s responsibilities include the daily operations of the DTP functions to ensure both internal and external client deliverables and timelines are met on time and to budget. Ben ensures all materials reflect our client’s brand and our own professional standards.
