Melissa – Chief Executive Officer

Melissa brings over 30 years of training, leadership, learning and development experience to her role as Chief Executive Officer of Learning Dimensions Network, a position she has held for 10+ years.

Responsible for an RTO who has managed over 17,000 enrolments, Melissa oversees all Accounts for accredited and non accredited clients. As the Head Assessor for all leadership and management qualifications, Melissa is responsible for all areas of creating and delivering VET qualifications in addition to having personally marked over 900 assessments, Melissa enjoys stewarding learners through their assessment journey in her area of expertise.

With a keen eye for process and systems, Melissa has previously been a learning and development consultant and coach in her own right, in addition to holding global General Management positions in various consultancies based in Malaysia, Singapore and North America. With a specialty in international training with cross cultural overlays, Melissa’s commitment to clients is to provide high level Account Management and to ensure the project team delivers robust solutions that produce tangible outcomes whilst providing service that exceeds expectations.

Sue – National Business Development Manager

Sue brings over 20 years experience in service industries, training, education, recruitment and consulting to her role at Safety Dimensions.

Responsible for working solely along side our Managing Partner of Safety Dimensions, Sue works on high profile and senior executive accounts across the mining, construction, aviation and manufacturing industries, and specialises in accounts which require that special level of attention due to complexity, size, scope or confidentiality.

Known for her relaxed, client centric, yet pragmatic approach, Sue successfully applies her business development, operations, recruitment, financial and project management experience with her ability to listen and provide insight to consistently deliver service of the highest standard.

 

Harai – General Manager

Harai has over 20 years experience as an operations and administration generalist covering areas such as IT management, process re-engineering, human resources, events management, policy writing, project management and leading and managing teams. With a strong belief that œevery person adds value to an organisation, she strives to assist others to achieve their learning outcomes. Having worked across a range of industry sectors, including tertiary education, sales and marketing and government, Harai brings adaptability, energy and a passion for connecting people to services, support and opportunities.

 

Paula – Business Manager

Paula works directly with the CEO, General Manager and the Board and has responsibility for ensuring, in consultation with the General Manager, that the strategic vision of the organisation is achieved.

Having had overall responsibility for the day to day running of the business, and the operational teams, (Project Management, Design and Development and Operations) Paula is able to bring her practical experience to any challenge.

With over 10 years national and international experience in the training and development field ranging from project management, marketing, scheduling, facilitator management and business operations, Paula’s expertise is highly valued within Learning Dimensions.

 

Sonja – RTO Manager

Sonja brings more than 15 years of successful experience in learning and development within the VET sector, HR and WHS operational sectors with recognised strengths in task organisation, project management and adaptability to new situations. Her quick thinking and analytical mind enable her to solve complex challenges in relation to the delivery of services for learners and clients across multiple industries nationally including Civil Construction (Major Projects), Electrical and Telecommunications Services, Manufacturing and Financial Services.

She also holds qualifications in Training and Assessment, WHS and Business Administration.

Sonja is currently responsible for ensuring the compliance, quality assurance and regulatory requirements of our RTO are met and ensures learner and client needs are addressed through the provision of timely and effective communication and reporting.

Sonja manages a team of Assessors and administration staff and ensures facilitation compliance and professional development activities are regularly maintained.

Sonja is currently responsible for the smooth running of the RTO including all compliance and quality assurance and regulatory requirements are met. This includes internal audits, maintaining the trainer qualification register, developing and reviewing policies and procedures for continuous improvement, assessment mapping and marking and all duties involved with the RTO scope of registration and reporting activities necessary to maintain ASQA compliance.

Wayne – Financial Controller

Wayne is Financial Controller and head of the Finance department at Learning Dimensions Network. Wayne’s role is to oversee all the financial operations, internal controls and integrity of the finance department, whilst providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Wayne has held senior leadership roles with strategic and financial management responsibilities across a mix of industries.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is CPA qualified. Wayne’s experience covers accounting, financial management, project management, systems improvement and strategic planning.

 

Tania – Marketing Manager

Tania has 20 years experience in marketing, communication, web and online strategy across corporate, government, education, not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors. In addition to her marketing role, Tania develops Learning Dimensions Network online learning portals for our clients and is an assessor in our Leadership & Management program.

Tania holds a Masters in Marketing, a Bachelor of Education, Cert IV in Training and Assessment and the Cert IV in Work Health & Safety.

Kevin – Facilitator/ Managing Partner

As an experienced researcher, designer and developer of safety interventions that align with operational and systemic outcomes, Kevin is well known for his practical application of best practice approaches, particularly at senior management level.

Kevin brings 30 years of experience as a senior leader within various businesses in the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia, including 10 years as a Senior Consultant with Chandler MacLeod. Kevin holds teaching qualifications and specialises in psychometric and values-based assessment tools.

Kevin is a highly sought after facilitator and a coach to CEOs, MDs and their senior teams, and focuses on safety and other leadership responsibilities. He is also a founding partner of Learning Dimensions Network, the parent company of Leadership Dimensions.

Paulien – Consultant and Facilitator

Paulien first joined Safety Dimensions in 2008 and is a dynamic facilitator who is able to captivate her audience and create ownership and interest in OHS behavioural and cultural change. She has had significant achievement in the design, development and implementation of leadership development and cultural change strategies and interventions.

Paulien is noted for her innovative approach to her work, her ability to establish and maintain relationships with people, her high energy, passion, enthusiasm and delightful sense of humour and fun. She has had the opportunity to work both nationally and internationally with organisations to develop strategies t0 meet the challenges of the future.

Bruce – Senior Consultant and Facilitator

Bruce is a highly competent and often requested facilitator, with over 27 years of experience in the fields of safety leadership and education. His engaging and dynamic facilitation style generates results across all levels of organisations. Bruce has a strong focus on risk assessment, having project managed the risk assessment of traffic management, evacuation procedures, excursion policies and bomb awareness across three TAFE campuses.
As lead facilitator in our 18 month safety leadership intervention on the Sydney Water-sponsored Bluewater Desalination Project, which concluded in September 2009, Bruce was the most often requested facilitator and on-the-job coach, and was instrumental in the significant success of this assignment.

Bruce’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Education, Diploma in Work Health and Safety, a Diploma in Training and Assessment and a Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution.

Christine – Facilitator

Christine is a registered psychologist, coach, trainer and facilitator. She is an experienced people leader, a certified change practitioner and an innovation specialist. Christine is committed to assisting workplaces to achieve their strategic outcomes by promoting high-performance, psychologically safe, customer-led and innovative environments. Christine has designed and delivered workshops for ASIC, Porsche, BankVic, Vision Super, Crisis Support Services, Nurse On Call and the RACT.

Tania H – Senior Consultant and Facilitator

Tania is an experienced learning and development professional with a proven track record in delivering engaging and challenging learning programs in leadership, safety leadership, management and inter-personal communication. She is highly experienced in the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of tailored learning solutions that address specific client needs.

With her extensive experience crossing many diverse industries, Tania is consistently highly rated by clients and participants because of her engaging, personable style. She is an articulate communicator, a creative and professional facilitator that incorporates adult learning and behavioural principles into her work to influence behavioural change.

Tania works at all levels of the organisation from frontline to senior executive, and with sub-contractors, delivering learning programs that enhance business performance. Her safety program work includes facilitating in high-risk environments, with a particular focus on developing personal ownership of safety so that going home safely is everyone’s responsibility.

She facilitates behavioural safety leadership programs for clients across a range of industries including construction, mining, aviation, banking and finance, infrastructure and government, manufacturing, agriculture, government, (local, state and federal), utilities and water. Tania is a senior facilitator of the Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Diploma of Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

In addition to safety leadership programs, Tania’s facilitation experience includes business writing skills, change management, business etiquette, strategic thinking and planning, presentation skills, time management, feedback conversations, performance coaching, executive coaching, communication skills, dealing with difficult situations, negotiation skills and counselling skills. She has also coached new trainers and facilitators.

Ian – Consultant and Facilitator

Ian is known globally for his high energy and captivating style. His ability to be flexible in his delivery strategies not only keeps participants engaged and challenged it ensures that learning sticks. With over 25 years of training and coaching expertise allows Ian to relate quickly with groups ranging from mining sites to corporate finance to not for profits. His experience and abilities have led him to become the sole global master facilitator for Rio Tinto, which involves training and accrediting all other leadership facilitators.

Ian’s passion for training and coaching sees him travelling globally to work with organisations such as Rio Tinto, BHP, Coca-Cola, Quintiles through to not for profit organisations.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts (Education), Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment, Accredited in DISC and MBTI , Certificate of Professional Coaching and NLP Practitioner. He is also an author in presenting and facilitating skills and best-selling author in human development.

Brett – Consultant and Facilitator

Brett is a very passionate and highly experienced facilitator and advocate of adult learning, coaching and mentoring for over the past 20 years. His approach as a facilitator is to be learner-centric and completely focused on achieving the learning outcomes for each specific program.

Brett has 15+ years experience designing and delivering training solutions to a wide range of industries including mining, manufacturing, construction, government, corporate and not for profits. He brings a solid theoretical background of accelerative adult learning principles with him. Brett’s very strong instructional design background ensure his approach to adult learning is considered, conceptual and cutting edge.

He has also managed teams and been a leader in the retail, travel and training sectors and is able to personally reference the issues and barriers to being a leader around creating a safety culture in an ever changing and pressured work environment.

Brett has experience training and facilitating in almost 30 countries including the USA, Europe, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Mexico, South Africa and the Middle East and his areas of interest include cross cultural communication and workplace safety.  Brett holds a Bachelor of Adult Learning and Development and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Trevor – Facilitator

Trevor has over 30 years’ experience working with organisations to improve performance through people, the past 18 years focussing on safety performance improvement through culture, leadership, and behaviour. Guided by his pragmatic, evidence based approach Trevor’s experience includes consulting, course design and facilitation as well as worksite coaching. Worksite coaching is particularly important to him as this is it is through the application of learning where significant behaviour change occurs.

Through his extensive international experience working across all continents and at all levels within organisations, including senior management experience, Trevor has a unique understanding of the integrated nature of organisations and their systems and applies this in his work.

Trevor has worked across a variety of industries including oil and gas exploration and support services of marine and aviation, as well as mining, industrial and public sectors.

Pete – Consultant and Facilitator

Pete has worked for more than 20 years in a diverse range of industries as lead facilitator delivering training in behavioural safety leadership, performance leadership, team development, cultural transformation, alignment and coaching.  His approach creates alignment, commitment and improved performance.

As an engaging and highly impactful presenter, Pete is sought after by organisations throughout Australia and globally.  His engages people at an emotional, mental and physical level to enhance their personal mastery, relationship skills and focus to create alignment with the organisation’s purpose. He is well regarded for engaging the œhearts and minds of program participants, transforming individuals from all backgrounds into safety leaders.

Pete’s industry experience is vast, working with clients as BMD Constructions, Costa Group, Melbourne Water, Alex Fraser, John Holland Group, Downer Group, CPB, Hazell Bros, Hitachi, Melbourne Water, Mirvac, Seymour Whyte, Abigroup and Government. His distinctive style enlightens, challenges and encourages participants to move beyond their comfort zone to achieve what’s possible.

Pete delivers the Safety Leadership Foundations Program as well as bespoke programs for a variety of blue chip clients.

Ron – Consultant and Facilitator

Ron has been a long-standing, valued member of the Safety Dimensions team since our inception. He is an accomplished facilitator with over 20 years of experience working with a diverse range of clients in various contexts, both in Australia and abroad. Ron’s expertise includes strategic planning, change management, community dialogue, organisational learning, leadership and team building, and conflict resolution.

Ron regularly receives rave reviews from his clients, where he has been applauded in allowing them the space to explore issues and content, whilst ensuring the process and environment are conducive to achieving their goals.

Ron’s diverse and extensive list of diplomas and accreditations include nine years as Executive Director of the Tourism Training Council of WA, Bachelor of Business from Victoria University, Graduate Diploma (Bus.) from Curtin University and a Diploma in Frontline Management, to name but a few.

Chris – Project Manager

As a Project Manager, Chris has over 10 years’ experience in the education and corporate training sectors; including industry accreditation, VET and higher education. Her primary responsibility is for project managing LDN key national Blue Chip clients, delivery of quality resources, and a high level of client service that meets their training requirements.

Chris has previously worked for one of the Group of Eight Universities in Australia, and a global human resouces training company. Her wealth of knowledge is reflected through her understanding of the various training packages, based upon the needs of the organisations and clients. Chris holds a Master Degree in Marketing.

Ben –  Editor, Desktop Publishing Administrator

Ben’s responsibilities include the daily operations of the DTP functions to ensure both internal and external client deliverables and timelines are met on time and to budget. Ben ensures all materials reflect our client’s brand and our own professional standards.
