The new Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (the WIRC Act) will become operational in Victoria on 1 July 2014. Worksafe Victoria has published a video outlining the benefits of the new Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (WIRC Act).
The new legislation maintains all existing worker’s compensation benefits for injured workers and their families under one simplified Act that makes it easier to do business in Victoria. It also continues to cover compensation, rehabilitation, return to work, WorkCover insurance and premiums.
